Reg. $49.99 $19.99 3 for $21 Reg. $8.99 continued from p.1 responding to the Ministry of Energy's consultation on what the province should forecast as the energy demand and what choices should be used to meet that demand. They issued a joint statement on the same matter. Burton and Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster said plans for nuclear refurbishments and nuclear replacement build in the Province's Long Term Energy Plan were well-founded and should continue to be implemented. "The nuclear supply chain is a vital source of good jobs in our communities," said Burton. "Nuclear energy is the cheaper, cleaner, jobs-creating choice in Ontario's energy planning. There should be an ongoing commitment to maintain nuclear in the supply mix." Foster agreed. "Ontario faces some very significant choices. Moving forward now with the refurbishment and the replacement build would send the right message to energy consumers, skilled trades, investors and OPG employees that Ontario is carefully planning our energy future." "I want to congratulate the winners of the Ontario Energy Awards," said Minister of Energy Bob Chiarelli. "The recipients, Oakville Hydro, Rodan Energy Solutions Inc., and David McFadden of Gowlings LLP , all demonstrate dedication and leadership in the energy sector and are an example for everyone in the industry."
