On Wednesday, Aug. 28, around 3 a.m., police said, a resident of the 297 Queen Ave. apartment complex, woke up to find a man crouching beside his bed. The tenant chased the suspect out of his apartment and called police. Police said the suspect came through the front door of the unit, which may have been left unlocked. Once inside, the culprit stole cash and an electronic cigarette. The intruder is described as white, 6-foot-4, in his mid to late 20s, with a very skinny build and long curly hair. He wore a black bandana, a baggy long-sleeved shirt and baggy light-coloured jeans.
