Deputy Fire Chief Andy Glynn said a section of drywall and drop ceiling (non-structural, secondary ceiling hung below the main ceiling) -- about 10 foot by 3 foot in size -- toppled on the escalator. "They're further assessing the structure stability, but we believe at this point it hasn't affected the structure of the building," said Glynn. "They've shut down hydro and the store will remain closed for a period of time." Glynn said a structural engineer was called to the scene to carry out the assessment.
