HIBBARD, Roy Henry - Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Sakura House in Woodstock in his ninety-first year. Beloved husband of the late Edna Hibbard for 67 years. Proud father of Diane (Kenneth) Radu and Steve (Sharon) Hibbard. Loving "Poppy" of Joshua (Nathalie), Eryn (Geoff), Tristan (Pamella), Greg (Catherine), and Chris (Tammy). Roy was blessed with several great-grandchildren: Alex, Will, Jacob, Ben, Emily, Josie, Peyton, and Cameron as well as two more on the way. Also survived by sister Audrey (Warren) Fifield. Born in Toronto in 1923, Roy served overseas with the Toronto Scottish Regiment. After retiring from Canada Post, Roy and Edna moved to Collingwood in 1973 from where they travelled throughout North America. According to Roy's wishes cremation has taken place: A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 55, 576 Brant Street, Woodstock on Wednesday, July 31st at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to VON Sakura House, the Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
