Strawberry Social on deck The Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar (RCOT) will host its annual Strawberry Social Saturday (July 6). Held in partnership with Acclaim Health Services, the event is for seniors who are confined at home, as well as for their caregivers. "We love to see the smiles on everyone's face and hear them sing along to songs from years gone by," said Vanda Albuquerque, Strawberry Social chair. The Rotary club has organized the social for more than 12 years -- Saturday's edition will run from 2-4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1494 Wallace Rd. The Province is expanding its SHSM programming across Ontario. In Oakville, that means Abbey Park High School will gain the Information and Communications Technology program while Garth Webb Secondary School will offer the Energy and Environment program. Both will be available in September. With these additions, there will be a total of 25 SHSMs offered in Oakville high schools in sectors such as business, transportation, and health and wellness.
