OAK earned 1,035 points to win its fourth Central Region LC title in five years, beating out second-place Toronto Swim Club (933 points) and third-place Mississauga Aquatic Club (793). Many of OAK's points were earned by Hailey Norris, who won four races and took bronze in two other events to claim the 13-year-old girls' high-point trophy. Eight-year-old Ethan Ma captured the boys' 10-and-under high-point trophy, winning two golds. Moira Sumner won a gold, silver and bronze. William Andercheck and Carly Jazbec each claimed two gold and a silver; Maisey Kent earned a gold and two silver; and Eric Hopkins collected two gold and a bronze. Emily Ma, Sarah Peros, Kevin Scaife, Sebastian Krewdel, Mikey Parker, Blaze Slavkovski and Carter Yeudall were OAK's other event winners. Also claiming at least one medal were Amileigh DuToit, Kevin Jin, Michael Kalman, Khaled Askar, Kevin Booth, Sydney Gardiner, Bennett Ho, Andrew Hughes, Christina Ji, Jacob Judson, William Malcolm, Emma Miron, Cameron Montague, Thomas Ritchie, Olivia Sinclair, Tamara Slavkovska, Ella Smith, Kristen Smith and Lewis Whitton. In relay competition, OAK boasted two event champions and five bronze medallists. Victorious relay squads were the male 11-12 200-metre freestyle team of Callum McPherson, Jin, Andercheck and Montague, and the female 13-14 200m medley team of Gabrielle Harris, Peros, Ji and Jazbec. Contributors to relay bronze included Eric Hopkins, Louis Sharland, Justin Kirkham, Justin Booth, Khaled Askar, Dejan Pajovic, Leah Creelman, Tamara Slavkovska, Ashley Ordinario, Emma Tsang, Alexandra Morris and Olivia Mae Sinclair. Ontario Summer Festival In other recent action, several of OAK's younger swimmers earned medals at the inaugural Ontario Summer Festival hosted by the local club at the University of Toronto. Trevor Smith won four races and added a silver and a bronze, while Bora Tlabara earned four gold, a bronze and a fourth-place finish. Anton Kaploun also won a gold, Ian Chambers earned a silver, Hal Malcolm collected two bronze and Andrew Hughes and Lara Olivier earned a bronze each. The male 10-and-under relay team of Ethan Ma, Zachery Ferguson, Kaploun and Smith added two gold and a silver. In 11-12 male relays, Andrew Dai, Pamir Gurler, Tlabar and Malcolm earned silver in the 400m freestyle; Gurler, Tlabar, Anderchek and Malcolm took home bronze in the 400m medley; and Dai, Anderchek, Tlabar and Gurler were third in the 200m freestyle. Age Group International At the Age Group International meet in Etobicoke, Collyn Gagne led the OAK charge with a gold, three silver and three bronze. Dion Renaud, Luka Tomic and Evan White each won a gold and two silver, and Annika Grewal collected a gold and two bronze. Also winning events were Omar Arafa, Derek Calvert, Matthew Mac and Emily Ramier. Other medal winners were Michael Antifaoff, Gamal Assaad, Hannah Burgess, Alyssa Forbes, Mitchell Gour, Christina Ji, Jacqueline Keire, Bryce Kwiecien-Delaney, Lauren Lalumiere, Sunny Liu, Peter Serles, Olivia Strevett, Nina Tomic, Connor Wilkins and Anaka Will-Dryden.
