Halton District School Board trustees will decide next September whether to establish a PAR (program and accommodation review) committee. The PAR would focus on Brookdale, Eastview, Gladys Speers, Oakwood, Pinegrove and W.H. Morden public schools in Oakville, as well as Mohawk Gardens and Pineland public schools in Burlington, which currently house students from Lakeshore Woods. Since 2009, the public school board has identied the potential need to build a school in southwest Oakville's Lakeshore Woods. The community has seen a 34 per cent growth of students aged ve to 14 between 2006 and 2011. Currently, 621 public elementary students who call Lakeshore Woods home, go to school outside their community, attending Mohawk Gardens (18), Pineland (16), Eastview (165), Gladys Speers (191) and Pine Grove (231).
