SThe girls are planning a used z warmn clothing drive this Saturday z re n and are hoping to collect at least 100 articles of clothing and footwear - a number that reflects the Girl Guides' lOOth year in Canada. "This warm clothing drive is something we really want to do for 8W local youth and parallels a similar community initiative we would like to do when we travel west next sommer," said Toni Ritchie, guider with the lst Campbellville Pathfinders. Pathfinder Julia Field empha- sized that even a country as fortu- nate as Canada has large numbers of people living on the streets who need belp. Those interested in contributing warm clothing or bottles and who live in the Campbellville, Moffat and Brookville area (framed by Milborough Line, Derry Road, No. 15 Sideroad and Fourth Line) are asked to leave their donations at the road by 9 arn. The Region collected 343 tonnes of irees in 2008, less than the 411 tonnes collected i 2007 and 347 in 2006.
