Un iversity lecture series starts tonight A free monthly lecture sertes in Milton to, be given by members of Wilfrid Laurier University will kick off tonight with a speech by noted political science pundit Dr. David Docherty entidled, 'Minority Govemnment in Canada: Recipes for Success.' The event will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Milton Room of the Town Hall West, 150 Mary St. It will be one of two sites for the lecture sertes, the other being the new Beaty branch of the Milton Public Library at 945 Fourth Line. Dr. Eleanor Ty will be the first speaker to grace that location. On Wednesday, Dec. 9, she will preserit a speech entitled, 'Who is Moving into our Neighbourhood? Globality and Asian North Americans.' There are six other speakers lined up to speak in the new year on topics ranging from the social, such as 'Important issues in Children's Mental Heahth,' to the scientifîc, including 'From Einstein's Paradox to Quantum Computers.' People can register to attend one or many of the lectures through the website or by calling the Milton Public Library at (905) 875-2665.
