Green signs have popped up all over Halton Healthcare Services' (HHS)* three community hospitals in Georgetown, Milton and Oakville, to remind everyone that as of July 1 'These Grounds are Smoke Free." Please support this healthy initiative and help clear the air at our hospitals. Parking at Milton District Hospital We are investing $600,000 in the parking facilities at Milton District Hospital this spring and summer. These improvements began with some additional paving of the front parking lot in mid-June and will conclude with the installation of new equipment before the end of July. The new parking equipment will respond to concerns about the current parking fees and will provide New Parking visitors with greater payment options. Rates Once operational, visitors will obtain a ticket when 15 minutes - no charge they enter the parking lot and will be able to pay for drop off & pick up their parking using cash or credit card at a pay station $275 per haîf hour inside the hospital or by credit card at the gate when $14.00 over 2 hrs exiting. $18.00 Day Pass This system will replace both the current parking $4000 Weekly Pass token system that exists and the flat rate charge of $7.00 which is currently charged for any amount of time spent in the parking lot. The current parking fees will be adjusted to reflect those which are currently being charged at the other HHS hospitals. Daily, weekly and monthly passes will also be available at the pay stations and will be valid at any HHS hospital. Parking fees collected by the Hospital cover the cost of providing, maintaining and administering the parking facilities - expenses that are not covered by government funding. Any revenue collected beyond these expenses are used to support local Hospital programs and services. Thank you! Our thanks to the Friends ofMilton Hospital for their efforts in rallying the community to support the Hospital's expansion plans. Community support will make a difference! Fri e 1 s f .
