Currently, the Regional DC rates are adjusted on April 1 st of each year. "Trhe Halton Development Charge Background Study related to lndexing of Development Charges' will be available to the public on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and can be ob- tained at the office of the Regional Clerk at 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, Ontario, L6M 3111. Public Meeting The Development Charges Act, 1997 requires that at least one public meeting be held prior to the passing of an amendment to a development charge by-Iaw. The purpose of this public meeting is to present the proposed amendment related to the timing of the indexing of the Development Charge rates. The public meeting wilI be held by the Regional Administration and Finance Committee as follows: Date: Wednesday May 27, 2009 lime: 1:30 p.m. Place: Council Chambers, Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, Ontario AIl interested persons are invited to, attend the public meeting and to make representations. lnterested persons should note that the proposed amendment related to the timing of the indexing might change as a result of the meeting and any further staff reports.
