CH tohost fundraising gala May 13 The environment will be the ben- eficiary of an upcoming fundraising gala. The Conservation Halton Foundation (CHF) and the Credît Valley Conservation Foundation have joined together to host the fourth annual Conservation Gala Dinner and Auction Wednesday, May 13 at Rattlesnake Point Golf and Country Club on Regional Road 25. "ýDespite our tough economic times, we are finding that people are excited about supporting a good. cause and making our environment better," said Jim Faugbt, CHF chair. The Conservation Gala will fea- ture a gourmet meal witb Ontario VQA wines and a live and silent auc- tion. Items up for bid include a Tobennory cottage getaway and a lour-day ski package to Banff. Gala tickets cost $125 eacb or $ 1,200 for a table of 10. A partial tax receipt is provided. Proceeds will support environ- mental education programa that belp local students leam about clean water, renewable energy and species at risk by engaging them in bands- on restoration initiatives.
