Sandwell Consulting Engineers Ltd. has been retained to carry out the study. The study will determine the current Operations Facility deficiencies and consider, evaluate and detail alternative solutions and design concepts. In addition, consideration will be given to projected growth, future service demand requirements, and the needs of other municipal service providers including Transit bus storage, a Fire Training facility and an Animal Control facility. The study will be conducted in accordance with the approved requirements for a Schedule 'C' project as described in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment document (October 2000 as amended in 2007). Public input is vital to the project and therefore a Public Information Centre is to be held to review background information, the problem being addressed and the preferred alternative.
