The message was delivered by Director of Corporate Services and Treasurer Londa Leeds at town council's meeting Monday night. She told counicol that Xplomet, the Internet service provider, has its required eoght towers in service now and about 400 rural customers have been connected ta the service so far. Xplomnet os now nrying ta determine where there are gaps on service, so Leeds said its important for rural homeowners who want high-speed Intemnet ta contact one of Xplomnet's dealers ta have their signal strength tested. "Thos data and hield tesring will determine where there are gaps in serv- ice," she said. Extender towers to fill any void She said once the gaps have been mapped out, they'll be filled by exten- der towers by late summer. After the extender towers are in place, Leeds said 95 per cent coverage of the rural area will be achieved - a number thats requored through Xplomet'ls agreement with the Town.
