Penman as CH chair Councillor Brean Penman has been acclaimed as chair of Conservation Halton (CH) for 2008. Penman has served as a direc- tor of CH for 28 Brian Penman years, including 12 as chair. CH held its 52nd inaugural board meeting February 14. Penman said hes looking forward te, carrying out his responsibilities this year as chair and a watershed resident. "(Last year) was an exceptional year for Conservation Halton and 1 would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work," he said. "Ata time of exceptional growth and opportunity on the watershed, the conservation and environmental protection efforts of Conservation Halton are crucial if we are to pass on a healthy, safe and vibrant environment for future generations." John Vice, citizen appointee from Burlington, will continue as vice-chair for 2008. Vice bas been a director of the board for four years. There were no changes to CH's board of directors. Milton representa- tives on the board besides Penman are Mayor Gord Kranîz and councillor Cindy Lunau.
