Today, along with tomorrow and this Monday, residents who stop by the Halton Waste Management Site between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. will have more than 1,000 tonnes of fmîished compost available to them for free. The compost is made from residen- tial yard waste collected by the Region at curhsides throughout Halton as part of uts strategy to divert waste fromt the landfill. The annual compost gveaways are very popular wth our residents and are a wonderful illustration of a successful recycling program," said Regional Chair Gary Carr.
