Regional staff are recommending that the property in question be declared surplus, thereby requiring deletion from tbe Regional Road system. The property is located soutb of the existing Steeles Avenue alignment (1600 Steeles Avenue) and north ofiThe King's Highway No. 401, and described legally as: Part of the Original Township Road Allowance Between The Townships of Esquesing and Trafalgar Designated as Parts 1 and Part 2 on Plan 20R- 16947 Town of Milton, Regional Municipality of Halton being Part of PIN 24940-0003 Pursuant to s. 34(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.0. 2001, c.25, as amended, and Halton Region's Notice Provisions Policy, public notice must be given for a minimum of two consecutive weeks, and not less than 14 days prior to the consideration of the Road Closure By-law. Upper Middle Road to south limit of Highway 407 Contract R-2048B-05 New Bronte Road (Regional Road 25) will be opening f0 traffic Saturday, November 18, 2006. Police will be on site directîng traff ic as the new signal lights become operational and the traffic shifts to the new road. New Bronte Road is four lanles from Upper Middle Road f0 the south limit of Highway 407. Here are the changes that will go into effect: " Old Bronte Road will be closed at Dundas Street (Regional Road 5) and will be restricted to right turn in / right turn out access permanently. " AIl through traff ic and left turn movements will be from New Bronte Road (Regional Road 25)!/ Dundas Street (Regional Road 5) intersection. " Old Bronte Road nortb of West Oak Trails will be permanenty closed. Residents and businesses will access Old Bronte Road via Khalsa Gate, Pine Glen Road or Dundas Street (Regional Road 5). " Old Bronte Road south of Highway 407 will be closed and re-routed f0 connect to New Bronte Road (Regional Road 25). Residents and businesses will access Old Bronte Road from New Bronte Road (Regional Road 25) and Dundas Street (Regional Road 5). Halton Region would like to thank the local residents and motorists for their patience during this construction period. Please be advised that construction activities f0 complete the road and landscaping will be continuing following the new road opening and Halton requests your continued patience. Construction will stop through the winter and re-commence in the spring with final completion scheduled for summer of 2007.
