Grand opening success at Milton's Complete Community The Canadian Champion, Friday, October 27, 2006 - B13 r , The new Milton Trails community opened to the public the weekend before last. An instant success, it has already received rave reviews from local politicians and new home- owners alike. Mayor Gordon Krantz did the official ribbon cutting honours on Thursday with dozens of potential homeowners - some of whom had camped out overnight to be the first to buy - local luminaries, and invited guests in attendance. By Sunday night, over 200 homes had been spoken for. "The view of the escarpment from our site is spectacular," says Jim Andrews of Fieldgate Homes. "It is one of the finest locations in Ontario and with all the fall colours, it really is beautiful." Fieldgate is one of the three GTA builders offering homes at Milton Trails. Together with Arista Homes and Greenpark Homes, the three builders have spent three years designing the community and the homes that go in them. They're convinced that Milton Trails - situated at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment, surrounded by the natu- ral beauty of the Milton countryside and boasting the finest community planning and convenient amenities - is the Toronto arcas most vibrant master planned community to date. "I was thrilled about the nutnber of people who arrived at the Grand Opening event ready to buy Its clear that homebuyers are as excit- ed about this new community as we are," says Andrews, who is not surprised at the response. "The public recognize a good thing when they see it," he said. "Milton Trails is a complete family community with parks, schools, and beautiful green spaces to create charming streetscapes and a strong neighbourhood ambiance. Because all lands between the com- munity and the Niagara Escarpment are pro- tected by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, residents will always enjoy a full view of Ontarios grandest natural landmark." Susan Crangle of Greenpark also stressed the builders' commitment to the natural environ- ment: "Over 50 acres of parks, rivers, play- grounds, and greenspace exist within Milton Traits, allowing the community to blend seam- lessly with its natural surroundings. Its impor- tant for us to retain the natural beauty of the land." For these builders, actions speak loud- er than words: many homes will directly bor- der conservation lands and greenbelt, while nearby golf courses, equestrian centres, lakes, parks, and playgrounds give residents more access to one of Ontarios best recreational regions. Walking/bicycle traits will connect Milton Traits to the downtown area and, in the future, to the nearby Kelso Conservation Area, which offers almost 1,000 acres of natural delights. With the Niagara Escarpment tower- ing over the community residents enjoy views of the natural landmark each time they step outside their homes. Of course, all this natural paradise is bal- anced with convenience and small-town chann. Domenic Bauco of Arista Homes observes, "Its obvious from the Grand Opcning tumout that the local community is excited about Milton Traits. This new neigh- bourhood vill blend with and enhance the civic life of Milton." In addition to its friendly local character, Milton Traits boasts the best location in town. Milton Trails is particularly remarkable for the extraordinary array of distinctive all-brick home designs available. With so many options, each new resident in Milton Trails will certainly find a home that reflects his or her own ifestyle, character, and tastes. The Signature Stone collection, for example, features dramatic masonry details to set each home apart. The luxurious Escarpment series, which feature striking designs exquisite from any angle, graces large corner lots. Meandering crescent streets create quiet and pleasant streetscapes, finished by quaint streetlights, entry gates, and welcoming benches to complete the community atmos- pbere. All of these homes styles garnered great interest and praise from homebuyers, and will certainly sell quickly. Milton Trails is now open to the public.
