The project will be located on Auburn Street north of the Canadian Pacific Railway line, south of Highway 401, east of Trafalgar Road and west of Eighth Line (please see map). The project will follow the Ministry of the Environment's Environmental Screening Process for electricity projects, and the environmental study will assess the potential impact of the proposed power plant on the bio-physical and socio- economic environment during its construction, operation and decommissioning. Preliminary issues that have been identified include air, noise and water. These and additional topics to be addressed are noted on the Screening Criteria Checklist.
