But given that Milton resident David Di Giorgio is the creator of the beaver, a character in a new musical, its no won- der some of Di Giorgios own nature is fused into the fun-loving animal. Through bis company, As Promised Productions, Di Giorgio bas created a new musical stage show thatîIl be pre- senîed at the CNE twice daily from August 18 to September 4 at the Kids' World stage. The main character is AL-EX the beaver, a counsellor at Camp CNE wbio surprises bis campers by telling tbem they'll be putting on a talent sbow He urges tbem to discover tbeir bidden tal- ents. "The gisi is that everyone bas a talent and if you find the talent wiîbin yourself, theres basically notbing you can't do. Thaîs the kemnel of wisdom," Di Giorgio said, adding, "Its very funny, if 1 do say so myself." Together with bis partnier Toni Grates and lyricist Lee Siegel, Di Giorgio bas written the script for tbe CNF sbow, composed the songs and recorded tbcm in bis at-bome studio- ail in a spani of about five montbs. Tbe 30-year-old composer is living proof tbat, as tbe heaver and campers demonstrate, anyibings possible il you find wbat you're meant to do and tben do it. Di Giorgio saîd its rare to get a teacbing job so soon after graduating, and even rarer for thaï job to be in ones owri communîty "Is heen my dream since 1 moved to Milton to live and work in îown," he said.
