STUDY REPORT Derry Road (Regional Road 7) Transportation Corridor Tremaine Road (Regional Road 22) to First LinelBronte Street, Town of Milton Class Environmental Assessment Study The Regional Municipality of Halton has carried out a Class Environmental Assessment (FA) to address future travel demands on Derry Road (Regional Road 7) from Tremaine Road (Regional Road 22) to First Line/Bronte Street (see map below). The study was conducted in compliance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environment Assessment (June 2000), which is approved under the Ontario Frîvironmental A5sessment Act. Following the March 1, 2006 Public Information Centre, the preferred alternative was reviewed in light of comments received and modified as required. Taking into consideration the comments received from the Town of Milton, regulatory agencies and the public, the recommended alterna- tive includes: " The widening of Derry Road (Regional Road 7) from two to four lanes from Tremaine Road (Regional Road 22) to Frst Line/Bronte Street with an urban cross-section, continuous centre median and delineated on-road cycling lanes; and " A grade separation underpass at the CN Rail Line, located west of First Line/Bronte Street. The Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the planning and decision making process undertaken for this study. By this Notice, the ESR is being placed on the public record for a 45-day review period in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class FA. Subject to comments received as a result of this Notice and the receipt of necessary approvals, Halton Region intends to proceed with the detail design and construction as documented in the ESR.
