Last month the project, designed to mark the organîza- tion's 5Oîh anniversar)y took lîrst place in the group quili caîegory ai the prestigious Ontanio Juried Quili Show ai the Waterloo Counîy and Area Quili Festival. "We were surprised when we started amassing a collec- tion of winning ribhons," said Janice Brawley of Community Living North Halton (CLNH), which supports people with developmental disabilities. Alihough everyone thought the project turned oui well, it seems nobody quite anticipai- cd the success of the finished project, Brawley said. In fact, the quilt would neyer have heen entered in the juried show if iî weren'î for a quilter who suggesîed the idea, she said.
