The Region agi-ced îo match the donations of Halions four municipalities, which will purchase one brick for every local veteran killed in the Second World War at a cosi of $50 each. Each bnick - actually a plaque - will have the name of a veteran inscribed on iî and will wbîclî is iocatcd ai tbe D-Day laiiding sites. The recommendation was, "Given Halton Region's tradition of sîrong endorsemeni and support for initiatives that recognize the sacri- fices made by veterans, regional council sup- ports sponsoring the juno Beach Centre Association's memorial initiative."
