In your hands you're holding the new and improved Champion, designed to make its reading easier and more enjoyable. We're hoping readers will be pleasantly surprised with the changes, some of which are obvious, some more subtle. With a circulation now up to 21,261, it's important that The Champion evolve along with the hurgeoning com- munity it serves. "As the community expands, we need to expand our coverage," said associate publisher Neil Oliver. He added a paper should be fluid, not static. "I tbînk we're constantly looking to evolve to gîve a better product to our readers," be said. lncluded in the changes are a new banner - the papers logo on the front page - and a condensed font, leaving more whîîe space and giving your eyes a break. Photos will now be separated lrom unrelated stones by a thinner line, and the opinion page will bave a more eye- pleasing campaign. The cartoon wxll be smaller, and new features wîll include the Faces of Milton' photo spread. Also, to update the style of our sto- ries, the traditional Mr. and Ms will be elîmînated. We hope îhey'll (readers) bc as pleased as we are with the new look," Mr. Oliver said, adding readers' inpuî îs valued. The Champion bas a nch history as one of Canada's oldesî community newspapcrs, and we'll continue 10 respect as roots.
