A14 - The Canadian Champion, Friday, August 5, 2005 Music students put to the test at Funfest Students from the Milton studio of the Ontario Academy of Music (OAM) cleaned up at the recent Funfest music competition. The event, which was held July 16 and 17 in Toronto, featured students from across southern Ontario competing in gui- tar, piano, vocal and drums. "The students ail did well," said OAM Milton manager Joanne Parker. A highlight of the weekend was the awarding of a $200 guitar scholarship, which was won by 13-year-old Milton res- ident Matthew Machado.
