This year, the scholarships were increased tram $500 to $1000 per student, 2 new scholarohips were added: one 10 a high school student registered with the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program and one for a son/daughter of a Chamber member and the selection proceos for the recipients was brought in-houne. 1 woutd like to thank the Board of Directors for making these important changes and to our Volunteer Selection Committee for their assistance. Funding for the Chamber Scholarship Program cornes froin sales of the "bacon-on-a-bun" sandwich at the Scholarship Café run by otudents and volunteers at the Milton Chamber of Commerce Farmero' Market and more recently, from the Sports Ceiebrity Dinner & Auction. Proceedo from the flow popular Sports Celebrity Dinner, held for the past 3 years in January bas allowed our Board to offer increased sponsorship dollars to our local students. David Gooding of Milton District High School (OYAPI Stephen [leMedicis of St. Michaet's Schoot (son of a Chamber member) The scholarship awarded 10 the E.C. Drury Hîigh School for the Deaf will he deferred for one year.
