The warm weather has finally anrived, and everybody here at Bishop Reding is catching Spring Fever! You can already see the crowds gathering in the student square during lunch 10 take advan- Sage of the warm rays.It won't be long now 'tiI suînmer! Every day after school the varsity boys basebaîl tram can be seen pracîicing outside in hopes that this season will be as successful as their last. The boys are looking promising, and we wish them good luck this season. In other sports, the badminton teams took part in an exhibition tournament last Friday, here at our very own Bishop Reding. Both our sin- gle and double players played extremely well. Special con- gratulations go to Justine Hall and Sean Mathé for coming in first in mixed doubles, and Lindsay Furik and Jamie Greenfield for coming in first in female doubles! Good job Royals! "Fair is fouI and foui is fair!" Who doesn't love a good play by our good friend Billy Shakespeare? This Wednesday, April l3th, Ms.Poppe's and Ms. Mackintosh's English classes are travelling to the University of Toronto to watch a performance of Macbeth. We hope everyone enjoys them- selves while still watching out for the three duplicitous witches of Macbeth! In light of the new season, BR's Student Govemment will be holding a Spring Fling Dance this Thursday. April l4th, at the school. Admission is only $5, and proceedt will go to the Student Govemment s0 that they can plan more fun activities. So don't forget to bring your spring fling to the dance! Spring is a season of rebirth, new life. and change. This month will be remembered in history by the faithful as the month that one of Christianity's great leaders passed away. Pope Jean Paul Il touched many lives and will be remem- bered by the students at BR, especially those who went to World Youth Day in 2002, and were able to see the extraor- dinary man himself. In a few weeks, our Church may have a new leader, and we are looking forward to seeing the contri- butions that this individual will bring to our faith. Well BR, that's alI for this edition of the Royal Report. We'll see you next week.
