"Lots of tnys are comtng in, and food." Ms Good satd there's nothing the local Salvation Army is really lacking rtght now. but any non-penshable food donations would be appreciated. Recently, Milton firefighters helped kick-start the holiday givtng season by holding a food drive that brought in about 34,000 pounds of food for the Salvation Army. "We rely matnly on the annual ftrefight- ers' food drive" Ms Gond said. "11 (the food) pretty mucb lasts te, the next fond drive." She noted that there's also lots of private donations cnming in as well. "The tnwn is very genernus. as usual." she said. Even though Milton bas and continues 10 experience tremendous growth. Ms Gond satd she lîasn't seen ai increase in the nuru- ber of families coming in. Each year. the Milton Salvatton Arrny puts a Christmas meal on the table and presents under the tree for between 130 aid 150 families, with Ms Gond predicting the numbers wtll leai dloser to 130 ibis year. "It fluctuates up aid down each year," she said. Those looking to use the Salvation Army's services are asked to bring in tden- tification and personal information like proof of income.
