Public Information Centre No. 1 was heîd on Thursday, March 11, 2004, at which time the need for improvements was summarized, and planning alternatives were assessed. Based on input received, as weIl as on an assessment by the study team, Haîton Region has determined that the preferred solution is the widening of Regional Road 25 from two laines to four lanes, together with traffic control improvements. The study team has completed an in-depth review of environmentaî conditions and is developing and assessing various design alternatives. The study is being conducted in compliance with Schedule 'C" of the Municipal Engineers Association "Municipal Class Environmental Asseasment," (June 2000). A Public Information Centre (PIC) is planned, toi provide further information to the public and to receive input and feedback on the study to date. The PIC is to be held as folîows: Wednesday.
