The trio - Oakville's Michelle Racine, Acton's Anthony Lima and Burlmngton's Lyndsey Canharn - were formally intro- duced at a recent board meeting by Chair AI Bailey. Anthony, a grade 10 student at Christ the King Secondary School in Georgetown, will be north Halton's tti- dent trustee. In welcom-ing the students, Mr. Bailey commended the three on the important responibiity they have agreed to under- take in representing die intereats of almost 7,600 tudents attending Halton's Catholic secondary achools. Anthony replaces former north Halton tudent trustee Graeme Owens of Christ the King Secondary School. An accomplished athiete and honour roll sts(lent, looking torward to working along- aide his fellow .2 student trustees, board trustees and administration. Through his past experience as Anthony Luna tudent council president at St. Joseph Elementary School in Acton, and more recently as the Halton Catholic District School Board represen- tative for the 2002 Ontario Catholic Schools Trustee Association, Anthony has honed his leadership and communication skills. Moreover, he's an exemplary stu- dent and is actively involved in a variety of sports at Christ the King Secondary School, including volleyball, haskctball and soccer.
