But police said the investigation into Mr. Manchisi's November disappearance will continue forging ahead. Early Friday moming, 36-year-old Mississauga resident Douglas Moore was found dead in his celI at Maplehurst Correctional Centre. Halton Regional Police Det. Sgt. Don Cousens said Mr. Moore probably committed suicide. "It certainly looks that way," he said. Mr. Moore was arrested last month by Halton Region Police at a Burlington motel and charged by Peel Regional Police with a handful of sex- related charges involving young boys. Joseph Manchisi's father, alto named Joseph Manchisi, said in an interview with The Champion that in his heart of hearts he thinks his son is dead. "I thiak he's gone. Thats what 1 think," said a broken-soundmng Mr. Manclsisi, who runs ant area restaurant and reai estate company. Last mionth, police told Mr. Manchisi and fami- ly mnembers thcy believed the two missing men had met with foui play. Mr. Manchisi said he's frustrated with the lack of information he's received, addmng he gets most of it from newspapcrs. Police recently took a DNA sample from him and his other son, Me. Manchisi said. "Once you get someone looking at DNA, there must bc something they're not telling," he said. An inquest will be held into M. Moore's death.
