'Mse annual one-day environmen- tal fair seul be held Saturday, Apr. 3 from 10 a.m. Io 6 p.m. A full lmne-up of stage presenta- tions is set. Throughout the day, people witl be invited to leam about various environmental topics while sain- pling thse vegetarian and organic fare of the Eco-Café, aIl located in the gym, of the centre. Presentations include tips on how to "green your car," compost with worms, or -clean for health." Most presentations will be kid- friendly and some will be aimed directly at children. At 2 p.m., eco-troubadour Chris McKhool will give the one-hour musical 'Earth, Seas & Air' per- formance for children. Hour-long workshops will again be a significant part of the Halton Eco Festival. AIli workshops will be led by expert speakers and aliow for in-depth discussion of environ- mental issues. Variety of seminars Among the 10 workshops will be: land stewardship, rencwable energy, and green roofs and rain gardens. Workshops and stage presenta- tions will be free with adm-ission to thse festival, and no pre-registration is required. The arena of the centre will be filled with environmental booths of ail types. T'Me municipalities of Oakville, Burlmngton and Milton will be front and centre as sponsors -,Father Curtis now at G race this year. Non-profit organizations wilI represent a large portion of the exhibitors, helping visitors fmnd out more about thse various environ- mental problems facmng us and what they can do to, help. Environentally-friendly busi- nesses, anchored by sponsors Oakville Honda and Home Depot, will display products and services that can make our lives more green. An added attraction this year will be a silent auction of eco- friendly items. Admission costs $5 with a spe- cial $3 rate for students. Children aged 12 years and under will be admnitted free of charge. RE: DECLARATION FOR MULTI-UNIT RESIDENTIAL PREMISES Beginning April 111, 2004, the fîrst 750 kilowatt hours (kWh) consumed in any month by residential, low-volume and designated consumers will be priced at 4.7 cents per kWh for the electricity commodity. Consumption above 750 kWh will be priced ai a higher rate of 5.5 cents per kWh. Pursuant ta the Regulation filed under s. 79.4 (1) (a) of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, where the account of a 10w-volume consumer or designated consumer relates 10: - a property as defined in the Condominium Act, 1998, - a residential complex as defined in the Tenant Protection Act, 1997, or - a property that is owned or leased by a co-operative as defined in the Co-operative Corporation Act, the conservation threshold for that consumer is determined based on the number of units within the property or complex. In other words, for a 100 unit apartment building, the firsi block at 750 kWh would be charged 4.7 cents 100 limes and with any remaining consumption charged at 5.5 cents. If you qualify, consumers must provide a signed declaration, by April 15. 2004, attesting to the number of units relating 10 each account. Your account will be adjusted upon receipt of the signed and completed Declaration Form.
