A random selection of 300 residents from each community wiIl be asked to take some time from their busy schedules to answer a series of questions related to the quality of care and services provided at MDH. The resuits of the survey wiII help HHS determine how wie can improve to better meet the needs of our communities. They wiIl also assist HHS in measuring the effectiveness of efforts directed at addressing concernis that were raised in the 2002 survey. The public opinion survey is part of Halton Healthcare's commitment to continuously improve the quality of care and service provided to the residents of Milton. Parking Rates Increase n preparing for the 2004-2005 operating budget, the Board of Directors has approved an increase in the parking rates at both Haiton Healthcare hospital sites for staff, physicians, and members 0f the public. As 0f April lst, 2004, the parking rates at MDH wiIl increase to $5 per exit. This new rate is competitive with the rates being charged by other area hospitals. Additional metered parking spots will be added to the cur- rent parking facilities at MDH. To access these short-termn parking spots, please use the hospital entrance off of Derry Road, using the entrance closest to the Bronte Street and Derry Road intersection. These metered fees will not increase. The time limit wiIl remain at 30 minutes for these metered parking spots. The Hospital's parking system is operated internally by Halton Healthcare. The parking tees collected at MDH cover the cost of providing, maintaining and administering the parking facilities in Milton. Any tees collected beyond these expenses are added to the Hospital's general revenue and assist in providing day-to-day patient care services at MDH. We thank you for your ongoing support and co-operation.
