Oen H e s J Proposed Officiai Plan Amendment No. 25 An Amnendmnent To Incorporate Officiai Plan Review I Directions and Related Matters Halton Regional Council, through its Planning and Public Works Committee, is holding a Public Meeting to provide interested individuals an opportunîty to comment on the proposed Halton Regional Officiai Plan Amendment No. 25. Purpose: As part of the five-year review of its Officiai Plan, Halton Regional Council adopted a set of 76 directions in June 2003 as the basis for making changes to the Plan, including: *A firm urban boundary to accommodate growth to year 2021. *Enhanced policies to increase the supply of affordable housing. *Programs to support the long-termi viability of Halton's agricultural industry. *An updated and expanded greenlands system. *Commitments to improvîng air and water quality. *New thrusts to promote travel by public transit, cycling and walking. These directions have now been incorporated into the Plan in the form of Proposed Amendment No. 25. The public is invited to the following open houses to obtain more information and to provide comments on the proposed amendment. PULI INOMTO CETR RECONSTRUCTION 0F DERRY ROAD (REGIONAL ROAD 7) FROM THOMPSON ROAD SOUTH TO JAMES SNOW PARKWAY (REGIONAL ROAD 4) TOWN 0F MILTON Haiton Region is currently planning for the four-lane road reconstruction of Derry Road (Regiona Road 7) from Thompson Road to James Snow Parkway (Regionai Road 4) inciuding replacement of culvert structure No. 07334 over the East Branch of the 16 Mile Creek, in the Town of Milton. Construction is tentativeiy scheduied to take place during the 2004 construction season. The project foliowed the Municipal Class EA Process, which involved public consultations and the publishing of an Environmenta Study Report in May 2003. You are invited to attend this Public Information Centre to review the preliminary design and discuss any construction related matters with representatives of Halton Region.
