Mr. Reed will seek the federal seat in the soon-to-be re-drawn Halton riding, squash- ing speculation be might be seeking a seat elsewhere. He's hemn acclaimed as tbe Halton Liberal candidate for the 1993, 1997 and 2000 federal elections. And tbere's a possi- bility Prime Minister Paul Martin will eall a spring election. The Halton riding currently includes Milton, Halton His and nortbem pants of Oakville and Burlington. But when re- drawn, it won't include Halton HuIs, whicb will form the new Wellington- Halton Hills riding. Riding redistribution is occurring througbout the country. Mr-. Reed said bis decision to stick witb Halton was based on wbere be's best known, and is not a sligbt against Halton His.
