The Joint Board will also hold a second special evening session for the public on Wednesday, February 25, 2004, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Town of Milton Council Chambers. The following matters are before the Joint Board: In order to proceed with this undertaking the proponents have filed: (1) An application to amend the Niagara Escarpment Plan, pursuant to Section 10(5) of the Niagara Escarpment Planning and Development Act; and (2) An application for a development permit under section 25 of the Niagara Escarpment Planning and Development Act; and (3) Applications for amendments to the officiai plans of the Region of Halton, the Town of Halton Hills and the Town of Milton pursuant to the Planning Act, R.S.PO. 1990, c.P.13; and (4) An application to amend the zoning by-law of the Town of Milton pursuant to the Planning Act; and (5) An application for a class "A" license to operate a quarry pursuant to the Aggregate Resources Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.A.8. The Joint Board will hear and adjudicate the matters noted above pursuant to the provisions of the Consolidated Hearings Act. The purpose of a Joint Board Hearing is to hear all of the issues related to the undertaking at one time, rather than having separate hearings.
