'It doesn't seem to be anything different than in any other subdivision," said disappointed Coulson Avenue resident Richard Murzmn at a public mees- ing held Thursday night so oeview the developer's revised concept plan. Applicant Central Milton Holdings Limited (CMHL) is looking so create an expansive subdi- vision on land east of Bronte Street, south of Steeles Avenue and north of Main Street West. It would include between 480 and 640 umits, and be a mixture of single, semi-detached and town homes. The site, which consains a fonmer quan-y pit, was designated as a posential growsh area by politicians a few years ago but tagged a special study ares. That's expect- ed in April. The joins board is hearing CMHL's proposai because it requires an amendmrent so the Niagara Escarpment Plan as well as Halton Region's Officiai Plan. The concept plan includes a haîf-kilometre north-south collector road, a buffer separating bouses and the escarpmens, preservation of a 19- hectare woodlot, an eight-hectare open space and creation of two parka and trails.
