"It seems Jike ail the water problems, are our own batties," sad John Vitetta, a Regional Road 25 res- ident who organized tise meeting. "Ifs better to stick together and figist it together." Thse meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Coundil Chambers at Town Hall, 43 Brown St. Mr. Vitetta said numerous homeowners along Regional Road 25, especially near Denry Road, have been experiencing a shortage or complete lack of water and wisat appears to be contamina- tion. "Some people haven't isad water since the pipe Uine (was built)," Mr. Vitetta said. He said many of tisese residents - himiself included - have been fosted to bring in water from outside sourtes. He hopes the meeting will gamer support from the Town. "Its obvious this has sometising to do with growts. We want growth, but flot at our expense," N. Vitetta said. About 70 letters were banded out to Regional Road 25 residents to inform them of tonigifst meeting, he said. Ward 1 Counicillor Rick Day said belIl attend tise meeting to see if tisere are any issues pertaining to tise water situation of whicis he's flot aware. He said Mayor Gord Krantz will be there as weil as Ward 1 Councillor Brian Penan. Candidates run- ning for election in tise ward have also been invit- ed. He said he doesn't know if he should expect 20 attendees or 200. Although tie well water issue is primarily one for tise Region, Town staff are attending to see if tisere's anytising they can do, he said.
