Annse Eadie, executive director of United Way of Milton, said she's optimistic the goal in the 'Neighbours Helpmng Neighbours' camnpaign - up $24,000 fromn last year - wiil be met, but knows it won't ke easy. She said she's prepared to face many challenges along the way, mncludmng Milton's rapidly-growing population. .The extra airain that growth wiil place on the agencies the United Way of Milton funds wiil outweigh the additional dona- tions they'il briisg in, Ms Eadie said. "'Residential growth brissgs changes for the agencies," she said. But iisstead of dwelimg on tse organiza- taon's urgent need, its more helpful - and encouragiisg - to remnember how many people have been helped in Milton so far, she said. The camplaignt is off to a good start after a successful Mayor s Golf Tournamnent raised $70,000 last Friday.. "It was a tremendous kick-off," said Mayor Gord Krantz, honourary camnpaign chairman for Use United Way of Milton.
