Patrick Murphy, Halton's commis- sioner of planning and public works, said the first part of this week is expected to be huge test for power usage as businesses re-open. A mas- sive blackout bit Ontario and several U.S. states late Thursday aftemoon, sbutting down mucb of the private sector. The provincial govemment bas asked employers to operate tbeir businesses using 50 per cent of the electricity tbey normally would to belp keep the tentative power grid stable.
