Now tbe 1 9-year-old pool sbark is ready r to take tbe ultimnate plunge- a Lake Ontario crossing attempt slated for Augusi 13. The oldest grandcbild of local swimming guru Carole Murray, Mr. Taylor seemns awfully confident in bis cbances of taming tbe 51 kiomnetres between Niagara-on-sbe- Lake and Toronto. But tben spendmng one's life in water will do tbat. "I know 1 can complete it," said tbe sofs- spoken but self-assured teen, wbo spent last sunsmer working at is grandmnotber's "'They key is to flot kilt myseif in the first 100m. Hey - I'm flot grandpa, I'm G-Man, thank you very much lt's a girl! Not quite yet, but maybe by the tszne you read this, or Monday at tbe latest. My oldest daughter is baving a baby and already knows it's a girl, leaving two unsettled issues, as far as 'm concemed, both bavmng to do witb naines. Altbough, I'm not sure either one is an unsettled issue witb ber. My suggestion for the baby's naine is Bobbi. I1tbink tbat sounds like it would be a fun person. I neyer knew anybody named Bobbi, apart froin on Petticoat Junction, but if 1 knew somnebody by tbat naine I'd tbink tbey were fun, before 1 even met tbem. My other suggestion is Taylor - Taylor Townsend bas a nice ring to it. And 1 like tbe naine Payton. Her aunt is suggesting Lily, wbicb I tbink was tbe naine of my great-great-great grandunotber- or somebody's. Not tbat it's not a nice naine if it bappens to be yours, but naines age. I couldn't iinagine a baby with my naine, for exainple. Tbe naine my daughter is leaning toward is Madison, whicb is nice, too. And it's winning by a sight margin - about 88-85 - over Bobbi in an informaI polI. Lily so far bas zero votes. Even witb people wbo pick Madison over Bobbi, I straigbt out lie to my daugbser and tell lber tbey picked Bobbi, just to try to influ- ence ber decision. I tbink a naine can be very imnportant. I don't know bow or wby, but l'm sure tbere bave been studies about bow a person's naine ese 'M on page 12 ~< ONrMuo MO1ITGAGE ACION CNI JT 1993 _ 2003 ""HonestMortgageAdvice You Can Count On" Purchases Renewal/fransfers Refinances ,, Pre-approvals e Telephonel On-uine applications isit our NEW OFFICE in Milton Mail Shopping Centre (905) 875-2333 NOTICE WWW.OMAC-MORTGAGES.COM VARIA lw Bob McLeod Manager Jim McDowell O.A.C.
