But for that to happen it'll need a financial assisi from the community. With that in mind, national team organizers are bringing back the John Guirestante Memorial Golf Touman-eni to Granite Ridge Golf Club July 25. Sianted last year, the charity event- held in memo- ry of the hearing-impaired New Jersey Devils prospect who died of pneumonia in 2001 - was an over- whelming success, allowing Team Canada to travel to Sweden in March and defend ils gold medal. Among the members of the two-time championship squad was Miltonian Mark Couture, an assistant cap- tain who helped anchor the blueline. The Canadians will be gunning for a coveted three- peat in 2007 in Utah, but wiil need the continued suc- cess of such events as the local golf tournament for that to be possible. A $130 entry fée includes the cost of dinner and golfing, while individual and corporate donations are also welcome. Those wishing to sponsor or participate in the tour- nament are asked to eaul Ralph Nunnaro at (905) 854- 4002 or Norm Brownell at (905) 878-0752.
