Hazel Carlin, VP of Arts Milton and Education Committee chair- persan, confirmed that the event struck a resonant note with se many of our members, as was obvions from the positive feedback notes that were handed in after this event. The seminar focused on ways the press, cable TV; and related pro- fessionals, can help aur perfornsing and artistic groups understand the most efficient ways ta promote their varions activities and events. Guest presenters included Director of Conunity Services, Town of Milton, Jennifer Reynolds, Media Guru Lana Burchett, Certified Advertising Agency Practitioner Cogeca Cable TV Producer Saody French, Advertising Director Wendy MeN.b, and Arts and Entertamfment reporter Stephanie Thiessen, both from the Canadian Champion. Very useful handouts were specially prepared by Lana Burchett and wiIl be part of our new "graup members kit" to be developed.
