Halton Medical Officer of Healfli Dr. Bob Nosal said the quarantined had either visited or been discharged from Scarborough Grace of York Central Hospital - where SARS la preva- lent - or been ini close contact with someone who bas been identified with the disease. None of thse quarantined have shown SARS symptoms, Dr. Nosal said, and none have trav- elled from Asia. As part of new screening measures, hospitals are checking everyone who enfers a hoapital for SARS symptoms. Halton regional police officers are 'carrying masks in case they have f0 visit hospitals. And Milton firefighters are taking directives from the Office of the Fire Marshal and increas- ing protective measures against SARS.
