We're already approaching March Break, which will be from the 7th to l4th. Spning ta juat around the corner. Itla a time of change in the weath- er, and at MDHS. We are ail eager for the upcoming warmth, and the sports that the sunshine will bring. Finishing up right now are several tearas. Our boy 's hockey tearn, led by Ms. Miller, made il to the first round of playoffs for the firat ime in five years. They also have a Montreal toumament coring up in Mach. Girl 's hockey is also over now, with them having put in a tremendous season. 'Me boy's basketball teara unfostunately bast to Notre Darne 60 t0 53. They are, however, the Double "A" Peel/Dufferin representatives, and will be playing against Malton. If they win that game then the tearn, with the coach Mr. Oliver, will travel to North Bay to compete in the Provincial Championabipa! Thse swim tcasn will also be ftnishing up next Tuesday and Wcdnesday at OFSAA. Those sports may be over and donc with for another year, but coming up we have a great selection. Firstly, thse girl's soccer team, coached by Ms. Grant, are undergoing rigorous tryouts, in preparation for thse Mid-March tournament, heid at MDHS. The boy's soccer tearn will start up their season on March 1lat, with Mr. O'Brien as thc coach. Finally tise baseball tearn will be starting up in the middle of April, with Ms. Miller as Use coach.
