When enroliment was down, she helped bring it back up through recruit- ment and the stanl up of varjous projects. She recently moved on to the Mfilton Optimnist Club. Ms McKees ivolvement witb thse Jaycees led her to serve on var- ious local conuttees, imcludmng the Canada Day committee, of wbich she bas been co-chair for Use past five years, and Use Santa Claus Parade Committee. "Our bouse becomes Use Santa Claus headquarters in November. It's getting bigger every year. It becomes more of a challenge as Use town grows," Ms McKee said. Ms McKee bas lived in Milton for Use past 14 years. Thse two recipients of tise Lifetine Achievement Award will also be presented April 12, as well as Use winners in varjous business categories, chosen by Use Milton Chamber of Commerce. Tise Milton Community Awards was started in 1972 by Use Royal Canadian Legion. In 1981 thse Milton Chamber of Commerce took it over, and expanded Use focus to include recognition of businesses. Citizens send in nominations for Use various categories, and a comn- mittee from the Chamber of Commerce decides on the top nominees. For Use Citizen of Use Year Award, Milton residents are Usen invited to select the wmnner. "We decided tise community should make the decision. Its proven to be a good thing - Use commumity is very participatory," said Sandy Martin, executive director of the Milton Cisamber of Commerce. Tickets for Use gala ceremony cost $65.
