Nomination forms will be available in the Office of the Regianal Clerk. The following must be provided at the time of submission: " A signed consent ta the nomination, in the prescribed form; " A declaration of qualification, in the prescribed form, signed by the persan being nominated; " The prescribed filing fee of $200, in the form of cash, certified cheque or money order made payable ta the Regional Municipality of Halton; and, " Identification of the candidate (drivers licence or other form of picture identification) Please note: No persan who proposes to be a candidate may solicit or accept contributions for election purposes, or incur expenses, until that person has filed a nomination with the Regional Clerk. Candidates must satisfy themselves, through their own determination or with the assistance of their own legal counsel, of the various statutory provisions relating to their candidacy. In particular, they must satisfy themselves of whether or not they are qualified or disqualified to be a candidate for municipal office.
