The band, made up of Milton Distnict High School students Andrcw Dempster, Shawn Lovering and Steve Miller and E.C. Drury I-figh Schooi students Eric Hleliwell and Joci Lazarski said they're serious about pursuing careers in one of tihe toughest businesses in the world today. But if iast Friday's show at Southside Community Church is any indication of how the band wili fare in front of an audi- ence, the teens have nothing to fear. It was our first major show," said Shawn, Infullt-ates vocalist. "Before that we jusi played for friends. We had amazing feedback." "After thse first sang 1 just fed off the crowd," Shawn said, adding the band's sound is a cambination of rap, metal and bard rock. The band agrced they were feeling the sting of performing their first "real" show. 1i was nervous thc tirst two minutes on stage, but we had a lot of support from aur friends," added drummer Eric. "The only bad comment we had was that we bad ta stop playing. People were cam- ing up ta us asking wben aur next show was." The guys knew each other prior ta form- ing thse band, Shawn said, which made the decision ta form a unit that much casier. "We knew wc were ail talented and could put tagether a band." Next wcek, Infulltrate will launcis their own Web site, www.infulitrate.com, wbicb will feature pictures, a biagraphy of the band, contact information and show dates. "We're playing in March at E.C. Drury and we might be playing in the Ukraine in April for a festival," Shawn said. "Because we've had a show and people have heard aur sound, we want ta spend more time getting out there. We want ta canneet with aur fans and spread around aur music. We're seriaus about tisis and the Web site will help pramnote Uic band," The band members, who say their musi- cal influences are Rage Against the Machine, POD and Creed, said Uiey plan ta release a studio album sometime in Uic near future. "We wanîta spread a message of hope instead of killmng and selling drugs," Eric added.
