The United Way of Milton wiîl present A Town and Country Christmas House Tour Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The six homes, decoraied in the spirit of Christmas, will be located in Milton, Camphdllville and Moffat. 'We waoted to get homes of various sizes, ages and styles," said Christy Bahcock, volunteer chairperson of this year's tour, adding tickets cost $20. "Ail the decorators volunteercd their time for this event." She said planning for the house tour hegan in the summer, with the finishing touches just wrapping up. "When wc pick houses we have to keep in mind parking avail- ahility, safety and the flow through the house." Ms Bahcock said this year's goal is 10 raise $30,000 from the tour. Last year, $20,000 was raised. "Its always heen a succcssful event and every year we raise a lit- dle more. This year we hope 10 gel 1,200 people out for the tour." If tour goers gel hungry during the day, the Unitcd Way will hold a fundraising lunch ai the Harrop Restaurant on Steeles Avenue from 11: 15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The lunch cosis $15 and includes roasted turkey hreast with cranherry/mayonnaise dressing on a croissant, garden salad, warm apple crumhle cake with caramnel sauce and tes and coffee. The Harrop Restaurant will donate $1 from every glass of wine ordered to the United Way. And for those wishing to take a sneak peak of the homes fea- tured this year, a special exclusive tour will he offered the night hefore for 120 people at a cost of $50 a ticket. Individuals will meet at Springridge Farm and will travel hy hus to the various homes hefore retuming to, the farmn for wine and d'oeuvres. The United Way of Milton, which supports 27 agencies in town, is hoping to raise $350,000 for this year's campaigo.
