The junior team bas shown a lot of ambition and courage up to now, but with only one win to show for tl This changed on October l6th when they beat out White Oaks 22 10 6. Even this triumph was just a preview of what the next day brought. October l7th was the big day of face paint, pomn-poms, bal- boons and a LOT of cheering. Our pre-game pep rally certainly got the fans riled up, not to mention the players. This definitely showed in their game, whicb, by the way ... they won! White Oaks didn't even get a chance to score one point, with the final score being 2210o nothing. 22 must be an unlucky number for the opposing school. Timn Anderson managed to gel îwo touch- dosens! What a victory to start off our away games. Today kicked off thc fîrst of these away games. Face paint- ing was held periods 4 and 5. Many of the student fans who trav- elled to B.R. with the team sported the blue and white colours of our 'Stangs. The mont impressive news tis week is our cross-country team. Our monners did fantastic aI the GHAC on Tuesday. The girls' senior team came in third. A few people even qualified as OFSAA alternates on November 2 in Port Hope. Congratulations to ail of those who went, you really dtd awe- some and made Milton District HS proud! This week was deftnitely one of athletic accomplishments. Il almost makes you want 10 join a îeam! MDHS is not just a school of athlettc achievements, but of academic ones as well. Today is Commencement.
